Durability cannot be reduced responsibly to the material category. Substrate quality, preparation, product formulation, layer design, exposure, installation, maintenance, and damage all matter.
Ask the installer to connect any hot-tire claim to the exact exposed system, surface preparation, cure, and written product or warranty documentation. Avoid an absolute promise based only on a category name.
A shorter schedule may be valuable, but it should not replace slab assessment, repairs, preparation, or product-specific cure guidance. Evaluate the finished scope alongside the advertised day count.
Some manufacturer-approved assemblies use different compatible chemistries in different layers. Ask for every named product and confirmation that the proposed layers are designed to work together.
